In my case, I’m not a big fan of music but I do enjoy lyrics with a good music. Being motivated all the time is impossible unless you can kick start yourself with some motivation to reduce feeling demotivated. I used to sleep when I’m feeling down but I often listen to some motivational songs while travelling to uni because it’s a long 1 hour journey that sometimes last for 2 hours when there’s a huge congestion, especially in the morning hours.

This blog post will give you a sneak peek into my playlist that I used to listen all the time.

1. “Who says” by Selena Gomez

No offense, but Selena Gomez is my favourite singer alive and she is a great motivator as well. She writes and sings most of her songs out of experiences. She motivates girls so much at her live stage shows & fan meetups and without doubt, this song is one of the best out of all her songs.

2. “Skyscraper” by Demi Lovato

I recently fell in love with this song by Demi which is 7 years older when I fell in love.

3. “Revival” by Selena Gomez

Once again a Selena song. Don’t hate me for this. But I believe that you won’t hate it if you listen deeply into the lyrics. They are damn motivating. I literally love each and every word in this song. This could be the one that’s relate-able to all the young girls.

4. “Never Give Up” by Sia

This one from the movie LION has something in it. It could be the feelings in her voice or the depth of the lyrics or this video that steal my heart. “Never Give Up” dropped into playlist since last year when I was hunting for motivational songs.

5. “Let it go” by Idina Menzel

“Frozen” just didn’t easily win the Oscar Awards without winning the hearts of billions. “Let it go” by Idina Menzel was a top hit in Frozen because of all the energy she had poured into it and of course the lyrics that give an oomph to the hearts. This had become my national anthem in a twinkling after watching the movie.

6. “Ever after high” theme song

My little sister was once a fan of this animated (kids?) movie that I never ever had any idea about. She used to play this song to my ears forcefully those days when I even hated songs. *sighs* Now this theme song is in my playlist without getting erased because girl, just listen to it once and you’ll know why.

7. “Love you zindagi” from the movie Dear Zindagi

This one’s from my most favourite female oriented Hindi movie that casts Aaliya Bhatt (one of my favs) as modern frustrated girl who’s into cinematography and enjoying her freedom immensely but breaking down at a point when relationships seem to fail.

This song starts with SRK’s golden words “Blackmail your present, through a beautiful future” and flows with energizing lyrics and music while Aaliya is rocking the scene. Do a lil googling about the meanings on the lyrics and when you listen to it next time, you’ll understand the hindi lyrics without any help.

8.”Roar” by Katy Perry

Another one dropped into my playlist from my brother’s playlist and still surviving. Whenever I feel like to listen to something loud but not the shit, I used to listen to this in a high volume.

10. “Fly to your heart” by Selena from Tinkerbell

This is a beautiful song from my all time favourite fairy tale Tinkerbell and truly energizing.

OH! is it already 10? but wait, I have more. In that case I promised 10 songs here, I’ll add few more favorites below without blah blahs and bullshits.

That’s all for now! I’ll be updating more playlists in my upcoming blog posts. Stay tuned to my Instagram for daily updates.

with love, Bushra
